About Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado

DRC, a designated 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization, is not a shelter. We are a group of volunteers who work with rescued dogs by fostering them in our own homes whenever possible; hence treating them the same as one of our own. We will use a kennel or day care if necessary to save a dog, but that dog will move to a foster home as soon as possible. All costs associated with the care of our dogs come from adoption donations and from the generosity of donors. We provide vaccinations, spaying/neutering, socialization and training of these dogs until a permanent home can be found. Our number one commitment is to the Dalmatians and Dalmatian Wannabes that come our way. We carefully screen all applicants and do home visits to assure each dog is placed in the best home for him/her and he/she is the best companion for that home.

URGENT! HELP! We are looking for a new home for our little Davey, one with an experienced dog person able to work with Davey's dog aggression with some dogs and also without children under 15 in the home. Davey is so good in so many ways but is not a candidate for dog parks or group play currently. Now living in Peyton (east of CO Springs), this little guy is in need of a new foster/adoptive home where it is quieter than where he is now. We thought that he was in that forever home when adopted as he loves to cuddle, nap on the couch (potato type!) and be a first friend to his family. He loves his dog toys and having you play with him. He is crate trained, house trained and ready to make his final move. We know that Davey's forever home IS out there! He was adopted to a nice fdamily, but Davey is not comfortable with the children in the home, so time to move once again. We don't give up easily and we know that Davey WILL have a forever home. Davey needs an experienced owner who will help Davey live within the rules and succeed. He is well worth the investment, believe us! A trainer who has worked with Davey will be available as a consultant. Davey's new home could possibly have a female dog of like size or larger to romp with. He has successfully learned to play with some dogs, so anything is possible. Our little people friendly boy is still looking. For more information, contact Beth at 970-226-2844 or beth@dalmatianrescueco.org. This is a cool dude and a good size too. Adoption $200.
